Who is responsible

What I collect

For the beta waitlist and the app download: your email address, optionally your name and a note, the products you are interested in, and the times you agreed and confirmed. If you ask for the app, I also store your name and the personal beta key issued to you, linked to your sign-up. The key works on up to two of your Macs and expires at the end of the beta (31 January 2027 at the latest). When you enter your key, the app sends the key, the app name and a one-way hash of your Mac's hardware ID to my licence server to activate it, and receives a signed licence token back. Later the app contacts the same server to renew that token shortly before it expires, to ask whether licensing is switched on (it sends the app name only), and to check an 'ask for more time' request if you made one. Between those checks the app works offline. If you send a bug report from my software: what you wrote, system details, and any email address or screenshots you add; these are deleted after 90 days. If you arrive through a link, I note which link (a short label such as yt2) with your waitlist entry, only to count where sign-ups come from. The label travels in the page address: I set no cookie for it and do not follow you across other sites. Your IP address is used briefly to limit abuse and is not stored with your entry. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.

Why

To send you one email with a link, which opens your personal beta key and the download, and then to contact you about the beta. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. Bug reports are used to fix faults and reply to you, on the basis of my legitimate interest in fixing them (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The link works for 48 hours. You are on the waitlist only after you click it. Unconfirmed addresses are removed automatically, at the latest at the next clean-up after 48 hours. The key is shown on that page and is never put in the email. Your name, email address and key are kept until the beta ends and then deleted, or earlier if you ask me to.

Who sees it

Cloudflare stores the data and Resend sends the email, both on my behalf. Mail to hello@ passes through Cloudflare Email Routing to my inbox. I do not sell your data or use it for anything else.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by writing to hello@silverwizard.dev. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
